Today, we are delighted to announce the start of the Fusaka audit competition, co -packed by Gnosis And Poolhosted on SherlockAnd run for four weeks from September 15. The objective is simple: maximize the examination of the Fusaka upgrade and the surface vulnerabilities before being able to have an impact on the network.
To increase the challenges, the valid results reported in the first week have a 2x multiplier applied to their rewarded points, and those of the second week have a 1.5x multiplier. To help safety researchers, we have prepared a Fusaka auditor guide.
We are grateful to Gnosis for contributing USD 100,000 and Lido for contributing 25,000 USD in the competition. Beyond funding, co-sponsorship is strategically important for ecosystem, because Ethereum upgrades affect everyone, and support distribution in several organizations is releasing that the security of the protocol is not the sole responsibility of a single entity.
What is an audit competition?
An audit competition is a competition limited in time designed to tighten the protocol. Security researchers are encouraged to actively seek vulnerabilities in the Fusaka code base according to defined rules. Only the impactful results and in accordance with the rules are rewarded.
After the competition, all the results are examined, validated and compiled in an official report. This guarantees that the discovery vulnerabilities are followed, attenuated and the lessons learned are shared. The best researchers are recognized for their contributions.
Bug bonus program
Apart from Fusaka, our Bug bonus program offers awards up to 250,000 USD For vulnerabilities affecting the wider Ethereum protocol.
About Sherlock
Sherlock is attached to the continuous security of the Ethereum network, after having carried out the upgrade of the upgrade of Pectra Bytecode at the end of 2024.
Founded in 2021, Sherlock is a complete safety platform for intelligent contracts that protect protocols throughout their life cycle thanks to collaborative audits with leading researchers, large-scale competitions to maximize coverage, BUG bonuse programs after launch and financial coverage to strengthen responsibility. Based on his early reputation for audit competitions, Sherlock works today as a complete security series of confidence by conducting projects to protect critical systems on the channel.
