Insider Memory:

  • SEALSQ and Hedera announced a collaboration to integrate SEALSQ’s quantum resilient hardware, including the QS7001 platform, with Hedera’s blockchain technology to protect critical infrastructure against quantum threats.
  • SEALSQ is testing the QS7001 platform, scheduled for production in 2025, and highlighting its broad applicability in sectors such as authentication, smart energy and industrial automation.
  • Hashgraph Group supports the global adoption of quantum secure infrastructure, while SEALSQ and Hedera aim to provide resilient systems ensuring secure communications and data integrity in the quantum era.

PRESS RELEASE — In a recent release, SEALSQ Corp and Hedera announced a strategic partnership focused on protecting critical infrastructure with next-generation quantum resistance semiconductors. SEALSQ, known for its work in semiconductors, PKI and post-quantum technology, is collaborating with Hedera’s blockchain platform to integrate security solutions capable of resisting quantum threats, according to a recent release press.

Advancing Post-Quantum Security with the QS7001

SEALSQ is currently in the testing phase of its quantum resistance hardware platform, the QS7001, with production and delivery expected to begin in 2025. The company’s engineering samples undergo quality and functional testing to ensure that they meet the highest safety standards. The QS7001 open platform, along with the QVault Secure Platform Module (TPM), are central elements of SEALSQ’s roadmap for secure post-quantum solutions.

The partnership with Hedera is particularly noteworthy because it integrates Hedera’s blockchain technology, a decentralized public network designed for secure and efficient transactions. By integrating SEALSQ’s quantum resistance chips, Hedera intends to future-proof its digital signatures and communication channels, thus guaranteeing long-term security against quantum attacks.

According to the press release, this technological integration will improve the security of the Hedera ecosystem, which already implements the CNSA (Commercial National Security Algorithm) suite.

Building a quantum-secure future

Hashgraph Group, a Switzerland-based venture capital and technology firm within the Hedera ecosystem, will play a role in expanding the partnership’s impact globally. THG’s deep tech venture studios aim to facilitate the adoption of quantum-secure infrastructure in enterprises.

According to SEALSQ, its solutions have broad applications, ranging from multi-factor authentication tokens to smart energy systems and industrial automation. By combining SEALSQ’s semiconductor expertise with Hedera’s decentralized network, the partnership could contribute to a quantum-resilient infrastructure capable of protecting critical systems and maintaining data integrity.

As SEALSQ prepares for the market launch of its secure quantum-resistance chips, the company underscores its commitment to addressing the evolving challenges of quantum computing. “This strategic partnership is a crucial step in safeguarding the future of secure communications, transactions and blockchain technology in the era of quantum computing,” the statement said.
