We are now less than 60 days away from Devcon and wanted to provide important updates and additional details on how to obtain remaining Devcon tickets for anyone interested in joining us in Osaka.
First, save the date: The third wave of Devcon ticket sales will take place on Thursday, August 15 at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM CEST / 10:00 PM JST on Devcon.org!
Once this wave ends, a few more methods will be available to claim passes.
Regarding ticket demand, it’s important to note (as previously mentioned) that more than two-thirds of Devcon tickets are either discounted or free, and aimed at builders and students, among other groups. The remaining tickets are being sold through a series of publicly available “waves,” which have been moving quickly.
That said, we also think we can do more to give the general public a chance to attend. So after Wave 3, there will be a few more ways to get your ticket to Devcon, some of which are experimental and use the Ethereum Network.
Specifically, we will offer the ability to purchase Devcon tickets outside of a wave by awarding remaining tickets in three different ways: via an on-chain drawing, an on-chain auction to benefit a expanded scholarships and a final call cycle. More information on each of these ticketing processes will be detailed following Wave 3 sales.
