Public discussions seek to define the security state and build a clearer cryptography framework.

The Crypto Working Group of Securities and Exchange Commission will host a series of public round tables, from March 21, to discuss the regulation of cryptographic assets. The first event, entitled “How we arrived here and how we go out – define security status”, will be held at the SEC headquarters in Washington, DC and broadcast live on the Commission’s website.

“I can’t wait to rely on public expertise in the development of an feasible regulatory framework for the crypto,” said Commissioner Hester Peirce, who heads the Crypto working group. “Round tables are an important part of our engagement with the public.”

Created by the acting president of the SEC, Mark Uyeda, in January, the working group intends to clarify the regulatory limits, to create feasible registration processes and to guide application efforts. The public can also request meetings or submit comments to contribute to current regulatory discussions.

While the Lord leads, pray with us …

  • For the acting chair Uyeda to receive the direction of God as he oversees the dry.
  • For Commissioner Peirce as she heads the Crypto working group in information collection and comments on the sector.
