I have seen thousands of shady projects lately where the owners hold large amounts of these cryptocurrencies, projects where you are not able to sell after you have bought because the currency is a honeypot or because there is not much liquidity, useless memecoins where some individuals (you know who) pump and dump them, etc.
I have recently read that Binance has started cleaning up and delisting most projects that lack liquidity or are suspected of being scams.
Remember that one of the reasons we haven't seen an altcoin season like in previous cycles is because the market is flooded with so many useless coins. If we had mechanisms to more easily flag such shady cryptocurrencies, or at least stop giving them so much importance by listing them on other statistics/trading platforms, the market might benefit and people could start trusting this technology again.
