The retail giants Amazon and Walmart explore the possibility of publishing their own stablecoins supported by the USD, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal citing anonymous sources.

The report comes as the US Congress is preparing a final vote on the engineering law which will essentially regulate the stablecoins of the country.

Stablecoin payment systems could allow faster and more profitable transactions, potentially saving these large companies from billions of bank fees.

While Walmart previously tried a owner token in 2019, the project was put aside. Amazon has explored blockchain requests, including an entire electronic commerce payment test. Other major brands such as Shopify also adopt stablecoin payments, while small and medium -sized enterprises are increasingly turning to them.

Apple, X, Airbnb and Google explore stablecoins

As indicated above, the giants of Apple, X and Google technology explore stablescoins to reduce costs and improve cross -border payments. Google leads with two stablecoin transactions completed.

Airbnb is in talks with Worldpay to bypass expensive credit card processors like Visa and Mastercard. Meanwhile, the social platform X plans to integrate stablecoin into its X Money application, aimed at extending payments between peers. Elon Musk has focused on the payment capacity for X growth, the company already obtaining cash issues across the United States, the SHOPIFY electronic commerce giant has already announced its intention to integrate USDC payments for its users by the end of this year. USDC Isuer Circle marked one of the most successful IPO earlier this month on the NYSE.

Final vote on the law on engineering scheduled for June 17

The US Senate is expected to organize a final vote next Tuesday on the Act on Engineering, which would establish a regulatory framework for Stablecoins. The bill requires full support for US dollars or equivalent assets, annual audits for issuers of more than $ 50 billion in market capitalization and compliance requirements for foreign issuers. Following a preliminary approval from the Senate on Wednesday, the legislation would move to the House, where a distinct bill of Stable awaited consideration. The exact moment of the vote will be determined by the management of the Senate.
