The US Treasury Department has launched an official process to transform the newly promulgated engineering law into a regulations for stabbed, inviting the public and crypto industry to weigh on the main problems of conformity.
The Department opened a prior opinion of a regulatory proposal on September 18, the first step in receipt of the comments before writing detailed rules.
This decision gives companies, decision -makers and the public until October 20 to answer dozens of questions, including the way issuers should reserve the reserves and the way in which American surveillance is compared to emerging foreign regimes.
Illegal finance and surveillance
The National Innovation Guidance and Establishment Law for Stables -Coins (engineering) was signed earlier this year, was the first major American crypto legislation.
The law orders cash and other agencies to establish standards for issuers, clarify tax treatment and enforce anti-flowage compliance and sanctions.
Treasury officials stressed that the rules were to balance state surveillance and federally while building mechanisms to detect illegal funding. The opinion follows a separate contribution request last month focused on the anti-money laundering risks in digital assets.
The public commentary period also covers whether additional clarity is necessary for the care of reserve assets, how the prohibitions for issuers should be structured and how international executives should interact with American regulations.
Political context and market
The Republicans of Congress and Federal Regulators aligned with President Donald Trump continued rapid regulation to position the United States as a global hub for digital finance.
The legislators also advance a broader bill on the structure of the market, the law on the clarity of the digital asset market, which has cleaned the Chamber and is being discussion in the Senate.
Meanwhile, the industry was monitoring the economic context, and some have raised concerns about whether they will continue to grow at its current rate.
JPMorgan analysts have recently warned that stablecoins growth can be complained unless the global cryptography market is developing, warning that new entrants could be cannibal if demand remains stable.
