We are excited to announce that Kraken now supports Tether (USDT) deposits and withdrawals on Aptos!
Funding
USDT funding through Aptos is already live. You can transfer USDT to your Kraken account by going to Funding, selecting USDT and choosing your desired deposit method (network) from the drop-down list: Aptos.
Make sure to deposit your tokens on networks supported by Kraken. Deposits made via other networks will be lost.
Here is some additional information about these assets:
Tether (USDT)
Tether (USDT) is the world’s first stablecoin. Tether was created in 2014 and, according to Tether, it is a digital asset backed entirely 1:1 by “real-world currencies”. Tether aims to track the US dollar and is designed to be used as a means of converting cash into digital currency and claims that all Tethers in circulation reflect the amount of their reserves in US dollars.
Aptos (APT)
Aptos is a decentralized blockchain and scalable Web3 infrastructure. Aptos’ parallel execution engine and modular design enable high transaction throughput and low latency. APTOS is the blockchain’s native token that is used to pay transaction fees on the network, earn rewards for securing the protocol through staking, and vote on decisions that affect the future of the platform.
Please note:
- Trading through Kraken App and Instant Buy will be available once liquidity conditions are met. (when enough buyers and sellers have entered the market for their orders to be effectively matched).
- Geographic restrictions may apply
