Hey everyone, I’m a complete newbie when it comes to investing. I currently have no investments, but I do have a decent amount of money sitting in cash that I want to put to work. My plan is to invest for the long term and keep adding money every month after my initial investment.
Here’s what’s making me hesitate: the market right now seems to be at its lowest point in the past six months. Is this the “final dip” before things eventually go back up? Or is there a chance it could drop even further? I’m wondering if it’s smarter to start now and dollar-cost average over time, or wait until autumn 2026 when things might be more stable.
I’m not looking to time the market perfectly, but I also don’t want to throw everything in at the worst possible moment. Any advice for someone who plans to hold for the long term and keep adding regularly? Should I just start now and stick to the plan, or wait it out a bit longer?
