The current market volatility has not spared the stablecoin sector, which has seen approximately $8 billion wiped from its market capitalization. This could be evidence that liquidity reserves, or “dry powder,” are tightening as risk appetite diminishes.
And yet, looking at how stablecoin companies are positioning themselves, it is clear that they view the decline as a temporary blip. Bo Hines, CEO of Tether’s US arm, revealed plans to place Tether among the top 10 holders of US Treasuries.
This is notable since 83.11% of Tether’s reserves are made up of treasuries, making it a key source of revenue. Going further in this area therefore sends a clear signal that Tether could be preparing for stronger demand to come.

Alas, it doesn’t stop at Tether. Circle created USDC on Solana (SOL), a move that analysts see as a strategic step toward transforming the network into a Visa-scale settlement layer, boosting the stablecoin’s utility.
In short, the 2025 cycle, when the stablecoin market surged by 50%, laid the foundation for widespread adoption. Therefore, the moves by Tether and Circle make sense as both companies position themselves to meet the growing demand.
Following a similar path, Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD is also starting to make waves. While USDT is down 1.5%, RLUSD is up 14%, showing that Ripple may not be far behind in executing its own strategic plays.
Binance integrates RLUSD stablecoin on XRPL
Looking at the key indicators, it is clear that RLUSD is gaining momentum.
In the first two months of 2026, the RLUSD market cap reached an all-time high of $1.5 billion. This rise builds on the token’s 2,300% rally in 2025, further strengthening its position as a major player in the stablecoin ecosystem.
Meanwhile, according to Token Terminal, the supply of RLUSD on Ethereum (ETH) reached $1.2 billion, representing a roughly 10x year-over-year increase. Such a rise only further highlights its growing role across multiple networks.

Building on this momentum, Binance has finalized the integration of RLUSD on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). This gave a significant boost to Ripple’s stablecoin by making it more accessible for trading across multiple blockchains.
Overall, the growth of the RLUSD market, its ETH offering, and now its integration with Binance show that Ripple is becoming “multi-chain.” By expanding its stablecoin to L1s, Ripple aims to reach more users.
According to AMBCrypto, timing is everything.
With players like Tether and Circle expanding their reserves, Ripple’s move positions RLUSD to compete head-to-head in the stablecoin space. It’s also a sign that it’s ready to play a major role in the next wave of adoption.
Final Thoughts
- With strong market growth, increasing supply on Ethereum, and Binance integration, Ripple is expanding RLUSD’s reach across multiple networks.
- As Tether and Circle make strategic moves, RLUSD is now poised to compete in this space as well.
