What is your professional background?
I have more than 20 years of professional experience as a Delivery Leader and Project Manager. I have led complex projects involving several phases in the areas of finance and ICT alongside the public sector. My work also allowed me to gain experience leading large-scale development projects aimed at creating digital platforms and software.
I have had experience working in regulatory and compliance focused environments with a focus on governance, operational resilience, security and identity and access management (IAM), as well as speed and execution.
Through my organization, Concept360, I help my clients implement complex projects based on compliance, governance and PMO practices to achieve realistic, audit-ready results.
For now, I’m trying to learn more about tokenization, digital assets, and real-world asset tokenization platforms. I believe this will help me in my preparations to utilize my enterprise delivery experience in the blockchain space.
What is your motivation for learning more about blockchain and tokenization?
As a leader in fintech and IAM programs, I have noticed some parallels between the challenges of traditional finance and those of blockchain and RWA platforms. The challenges of identity, compliance, auditability, integration and risk, with each challenge becoming more critical as technology and business landscapes evolve.
Blockchain and tokenization can offer much more than just a technical change in business operations. With tokenization in play in real-world enterprise environments, you’ll need to think about delivery and governance challenges.
I also wanted to understand the business implications and regulatory aspects of tokenization with a structured approach. This is one of the reasons why I chose 101 Blockchains.
Which course or certification did you choose from 101 Blockchains?
I chose the “Tokenization Fundamentals” training from 101 Blockchains. This is a self-paced course that I could take alongside my work responsibilities and learn more about tokenization.
Did the course help you?
The “Tokenization Fundamentals” training course provided a comprehensive introduction to popular tokenization models adopted for real-world assets. It also highlights the importance of the ERC-3643 and ERC-1400 token standards in the tokenization of real-world assets.
The course also includes a lesson on comparing security tokens and utility tokens. Additionally, it will help you understand the role of key regulatory frameworks related to tokenization.
I also learned about best practices for ensuring compliance by design and liquidity concepts through the course. I could now use blockchain technology to achieve the desired delivery, governance and compliance standards in real-world enterprise environments.
At 101 Blockchains, you don’t just get certifications, you learn real-world skills that make you a confident blockchain professional.
How do you implement your knowledge in the professional space?
I am implementing my knowledge of tokenization to expand my professional specialization in the following areas.
- RWA and regulated fintech platforms
- Governance-focused blockchain projects
- KYC/AML onboarding and compliance checks
- Identity strategy, IAM and decentralized identity
I also use my professional writing knowledge to share insights on the importance of delivery discipline, compliance, and identity in blockchain adoption. I plan to use these practices in tokenization and digital asset projects in the future.
What’s next for your blockchain learning journey?
The next step in my blockchain learning journey will be to validate my expertise with certifications by 101 Blockchains. I am interested in pursuing certification programs that will help me learn more about blockchain product strategy and decentralized identity. I believe that knowledge of IAM and DID is crucial to designing secure and compliant RWA platforms.
What would you recommend to a professional taking their first steps in the blockchain space?
The first thing you need to do is ignore the hype and focus on the fundamental concepts. Try to learn and discover different ways blockchain technology solves real business problems. You need to understand that implementing blockchain in any regulated industry requires governance, structured delivery and identity management. If you already have professionals in the field of service delivery or enterprise security, you will have no difficulty learning about blockchain.
