What’s new
TradFi Futures on Kraken Pro allows eligible EU customers to trade futures on major stock indices, commodities and foreign exchange markets, using the same futures interface they already use for crypto.
This means you can go long or short on the S&P 500, react to a spike in gold after a Fed announcement, or hedge your cryptocurrency exposure with an oil contract, all without opening a new account or learning a new platform.
Longer hours than traditional markets
Stock markets close at 4 p.m. Kraken does not.
TradFi Kraken futures follow CME Group’s extensive trading schedule: 23 hours a day, 5 days a week, Sunday evening through Friday afternoon ET. That’s significantly more time to act on macroeconomic events than a standard brokerage gives you and it’s right next to crypto markets that operate 24/7.
