WLFI Whale Buys 60.87 Million Tokens – Can Declining Supply Spark a Rally?

A newly identified whale has accumulated 60.87 million World Liberty Financial (WLFI) worth around $3.55 million from Binance over the past two days, drawing attention to a market that has spent months under sustained pressure.

THE withdrawals occurred at an average acquisition price of $0.058, placing the buyer near current trading levels rather than looking for strength. Such positioning suggested confidence despite WLFI remaining in a broader downtrend.

Additionally, the move removed a notable amount of supply from exchange circulation, thereby reducing the amount immediately available for sale.

Although a single transaction rarely changes market structure, large pullbacks often reveal the conviction of sophisticated participants, particularly when they emerge near historically depressed price areas.

Foreign exchange balances continue to decline

Beyond whale activity, data on exchange flows continued to reinforce the accumulation narrative. WLFI recorded a daily net flow of -$122.05,050, indicating that more tokens left exchanges than entered.

This figure continues a broader trend of negative net flows that has persisted in recent weeks. As a result, traders continued to move tokens to private wallets rather than positioning them for immediate sale.

Although the outflow figure remained modest compared to historical peaks, it closely corresponds to the whale retreat event.

Market participants therefore witnessed both significant individual accumulation and larger currency outflows during the same period.

If this behavior continues, the available FX supply could tighten further and reduce selling pressure in the near term.

Can WLFI escape its downlink channel?

WLFI price action remained technically limited despite signs of improving conditions beneath the surface. The room has continued to trade in a multi-month descending channel that has guided the broader downtrend since February.

However, buyers managed to defend the key $0.0568 support zone, preventing a deeper decline and helping the price stabilize near $0.0591. The first major resistance remained at $0.0758, while the psychologically important $0.10 level continued to serve as a broader recovery target.

Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index climbed to 40.34 at press time, after recovering from oversold conditions, indicating that bearish pressure had eased compared to previous weeks. Although the RSI remained below the neutral threshold of 50, its gradual rise suggests improving market strength.

If buyers maintain control above support, WLFI could attempt to advance toward higher resistance levels within the channel before challenging a broader trend reversal.

Bulls continue to pay to stay positioned

Derivatives data revealed a cautiously optimistic stance among leveraged traders.

At the time of writing, WLFI’s OI-weighted funding rate remained positive at 0.0058%, indicating that long position holders continued to pay a premium to maintain their exposure. Positive funding generally reflects stronger demand for long positions than for short positions.

Unlike previous periods that featured sharp swings between bullish and bearish positioning, recent numbers have remained consistently positive. This trend suggests that traders are expecting prices to rise despite the current downtrend. However, sentiment alone on derivatives rarely determines which direction to take.

For this reason, investors would likely monitor whether positive funding continues alongside currency outflows and whale accumulation. IIf these conditions remain aligned, bullish conviction could further strengthen across the market.

Is WLFI building a recovery database?

Several indicators have started to lean in favor of WLFI despite the broader downtrend remaining intact.

Whale accumulation, negative FX net flows, improving RSI conditions and positive financing rates have all indicated growing buyer interest.

If the support at $0.0568 continues to hold, WLFI could attempt to advance towards $0.0758. However, it would be necessary to reclaim higher resistance levels before a larger trend reversal becomes credible.

Final summary

  • Whale accumulation and currency outflows suggest that selling pressure has continued to ease.
  • WLFI maintained support as bullish funding reflected growing trader confidence.
