Space and Time Labs, the Microsoft-backed innovator in zero-knowledge (ZK) data solutions, announced the launch of testnet for SXT Chain, a flagship blockchain designed to deliver ZK-proven data to contracts intelligent.
The announcement was made during Chainlink’s SmartCon event held on October 30.
The launch of Testnet shows a collaborative approach with industry giants such as ZKsync, Chainlink and Microsoft to redefine decentralized finance (DeFi) through advanced data capabilities.
SXT Chain offers developers a decentralized database that indexes data from major chains like Ethereum and ZKsync. This database will enable a wide range of data-intensive applications thanks to its Proof of SQL functionality.
Additionally, the ZK coprocessor enables verification of SQL database queries in less than a second. This is the major development that addresses the current limitations of blockchain data processing.
With the testnet launch of SXT Chain, smart contracts can now use trusted databases to personalize DeFi interactions. Lendvest, a Chainlink BUILD-backed project, is among the early adopters using SXT’s data tools for next-generation data-driven lending protocols.
“We are excited to launch SXT Chain in testnet to enable developers to build more sophisticated applications on-chain. ZKsync and Chainlink have been pioneers in expanding the capabilities of blockchain technology, and we look forward to continuing to build the next generation of DeFi with ZK’s proven, decentralized database technology. said Nate Holiday, co-founder and CEO of Space and Time.
Space and Time’s partnership with ZKsync will enhance the scalability of SXT using ZK stacking technology. This allows for faster and more efficient processing within the Elastic Chain network. This makes it easier for developers to launch smart contracts using Solidity.
“It is exciting to see that Space and Time is helping to grow the Elastic Chain ecosystem and its capabilities through the SXT chain as well as custom rollup powered by ZKsync, allowing developers to build more advanced on-chain applications secured by ZKsync. We believe ZK is key to the development of Web3, and the launch of SXT Chain advances our shared vision of providing developers with sophisticated, data-driven, cross-chain smart contracts,” said Alex Gluchowski, co- inventor of ZKsync.
Using Chainlink’s vast network, SXT Chain can offer developers secure and affordable ZK verification for data queries, avoiding Ethereum verification costs.
Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of Chainlink, said: “The integration of SXT with the Chainlink network significantly enhances the toolkit available to developers, providing a new and secure solution for creating scalable, data-driven smart contracts , which can interact with onchain and offchain. data in a decentralized manner.
Microsoft has emphasized its commitment to blockchain advancements. “At Microsoft, we are driving growth in emerging markets, including blockchain and distributed data. Together, Microsoft Azure and Space and Time will provide developers with the tools they need to create the next generation of blockchain use cases,” said Kathleen Mitford, vice president of Worldwide Industry Marketing at Microsoft.
