Google Trends data previously showed that search interest for “Bitcoin” spiked to 100 during Trump’s recent election victory. Around that time, Bitcoin reached an impressive high of $85,000 and later set a new all-time high of $99,600 on November 22, according to CoinMarketCap.
The increase in searches for “altcoins” marks a reversal from the previous period from January 2022 to November 2023, when interest fell to a five-year low of 5, before rising again to 21 in December 2023 .
