Bitget, the crypto exchange platform based in Seychelles, has formed a strategic alliance with Avalanche, an Open Source decentralized blockchain platform, to revive the adoption of the web3 database in India.
Bitget announced this new development on April 28, 2025, following various companies of the two companies to extend the crypto and its use cases. Avalanche previously collaborated with Indian government agencies, including projects involving social protection programs and mini-subventions. In addition, Avalanche has launched several decentralized applications and has an increasing ecosystem that can be used to extend the adoption of web3 in India.
Bitget is not new in such initiatives, because the company has launched in the past Blockchain4YOUTH, an initiative that has promised $ 10 million in scholarships, workshop and support for hackathon over a period of five years.
Currently, Bitget is in discussion with the India Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to guarantee its registration to operate in the country. Meanwhile, Avalanche helps the governments of states in India to further integrate blockchain into their processes by transitioning public archives to blockchain networks.

Echoing the feeling, Devika Mittal, regional chief of Ava Labs, said: “Our objective with events is to provide a space for any web 3 passionate – whether in Delhi or Varanasi, or elsewhere – to connect and build.”
The two companies consider India as an important destination to develop and rely on their web3 expertise and intend to collaborate until 2025.

Thanks to their collaboration, the two companies aim to deploy a series of awareness and education workshops throughout 2025, qualified as “Hodl On” tour. These efforts are designed to train and educate the Indian public with essential knowledge of the safety of cryptography and the potential of blockchain technology.
In addition, visits will serve as a springboard for Indian Web3 startups and offer them a platform to present their innovations as well as options to further explore funding opportunities.
Two successful community meetings have already taken place in Delhi and Bengaluru as an initial phase of this awareness. Bitget and Avalanche are convinced that with the right support, Indian technical talents can stimulate the development of web3 applications.
