After developing its underlying Lemur server technology over the past six years, Swedish developer Ringtail Interactive has begun revealing more details about Escapesomething he describes as “a genre-bending online game and MMO creation platform with seamless blockchain integration, available on PC and mobile.”
Resembling a blockchain-based version of Manticore Heart platform, Escape uses Lemur to enable “Anything-to-Anything” networking. This means that all elements (entities) from all experiences deployed by a developer can be used in all other experiences, similar to the functionality of the metaverse.
Escape also recently announced the minting of its 5,000 coins Founding Citizens NFT collection.
These grant recipients benefit from early access to the Escape project, and other benefits such as unique avatars, whitelists for other NFTs such as apartments, as well as the project’s upcoming token. In April 2024, the developer launched its first NFT collection The 300.
“I think most Web3 gaming enthusiasts agree that the NFT market has not taken off as expected. NFTs have had a bit of a rough time since their rapid rise in 2020 and 2021. This fact makes our community creation an even prouder moment for all of us. As NFTs become more and more integrated into massive projects like ours, we firmly believe that the future is as bright as its past and we look forward to being a part of this next wave,” commented Escape founder and CEO Bastian Geissler.
Escape also signed a strategic partnership with Pixelmonalthough details of the collaboration have yet to be revealed.
“Web3 gaming will only become the decentralized revolution we all envision if our communities come together,” Geissler said.
“We look forward to seeing playable NFT avatars from other communities on our platform and are open to integrating new partners soon.”
