On July 30, 2025, the Ethereum community has marked an important step: ten years since the launch of Genesis Block and Mainnet d’Ethereum.
Which started as a white paper has become a decentralized platform that now feeds thousands of applications, tools and communities around the world.
The celebration
To commemorate the opportunity, more than 100 events led by ecosystems took place on 6 continents. These rallies lasted meetings, workshops, art exhibitions and hackathons, all organized by members of the Ethereum community.
The Ethereum Foundation organized A live event to welcome in the next decade.
Livestream presented a discussion with the co-founders Ethereum Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Lubin, an interview with the co-executive directors of the Ethereum Hsiao-Wei Wang and Tomask Stańczak, an overview of the Ethereum roadmap and the Ecosystem talks.

While the ecosystem has thought about progress, it has also turned to the future. Many have shared their “Moshot ideas” for what the next 10 years could look like Ethereum. New decades bring new challenges and opportunities for Ethereum through AI, biotechnology, culture, finance, governance, etc.
The Ethereum torch
The Ethereum torch is an NFT created to commemorate the 10 years of celebration of Ethereum.
In the 10 days preceding the birthday, the Ethereum torch was symbolically passed from portfolio to portfolio to honor the people and values that shaped the first decade of Ethereum and will help build its future.
Ten individuals of Torch have been selected to represent the Ethereum ecosystem. Each filing door shared reflections on Ethereum on social networks that have been accumulated in a collective wire.
