ChainOpéra Inc.a blockchain company that builds a decentralized network and artificial intelligence operating system to accelerate the development of AI, said Wednesday it raised $17 million in seed funding led by Finality Capital, Road Capital and IDG Capital.
Notable investors also participating in the round include Camford VC, ABCDE Capital, Amber Group, Modular Capital, Sparkle Ventures, AimTop Venture, Wisemont Capital, LDV Partners, Acequia Capital, PrimeSet, Plug and Play, Silicon Valley Future Capital and USC Marshall School. of Business.
A California-based startup, ChainOpera is the developer of a blockchain network that provides a decentralized platform for generative AI applications and what it calls an AI operating system that enables the sharing of computing power and high quality data. The company said its platform helps facilitate interaction between AI developers and these decentralized resources to enable everyone to participate in the process of creating AI applications and agents while allowing users to maintain control of their data and their work.
According to the company, using a blockchain network model allows users to co-own and co-create decentralized AI agents and applications. It calls its platform a federated AI operating system, meaning it is separated across several different nodes, each of which verifies and validates data. This enables the creation, deployment and management of AI agents and rewards each participant for their contributions. For example, contributors could provide data, model, and graphics processing unit computing resources to serve models and earn tokens.
“ChainOpera actively supports various AI applications with unique tokenomics,” said Dr. Aiden He, Co-Founder and President of ChainOpera AI. “We view AI agents based on large language models as a simple form of AI software, envisioning the personal AI operating system with multimodal models and federated on-device learning as powerful digital companions to expand the blockchain AI community.”
The company said offering an incentive to developers would lead them to create more models and that AI agent builders would reward developers for creating models to deploy. This helps lay the foundation for a more diverse market where more models can be used by other developers to customize and transform them into more specialized AI agents and generative AI models specific to applications. tasks.
ChainOpera’s AI mobile app features what the company calls an “AI Terminal” “earn-like” capability that allows users to share private data to receive token rewards for large language models and generative AI model training. The AI terminal also allow users can trade AI tokens through the ChainOpera platform for other cryptocurrencies and acts as a personal AI companion capable of performing various tasks and answering questions. The company I said it intends to make the AI terminal a full-fledged AI co-pilot and operating system.
According to ChainOpera, the ecosystem has 7,000 AI model developers. The company plans to broadly launch its flagship platform and mobile app featuring AI agents in the coming weeks.
