Coinbase is the largest operator to a node to support the activities of implementation on the Ethereum network.
According to its performance report by Maiden Validator, the exchange based in the United States marked 3.84 million ETH thanks to 120,000 validators, representing 11.42% of the total ETH.
Beyond its direct ignition operations, Coinbase also put an additional 581,500 ETH through partners on March 4, 2025.
These combined clearing operations consolidate the example of Coinbase among centralized competitors. In comparison, Binance is currently annoying about 2 million Eth and Kraken about 1 million Eth, clearly placing Coinbase.
The rapid expansion of the company in the Ethereum procedure occurs despite the previous legal challenges of the American Commission for Securities and Exchange (SEC). The financial regulator had alleged that the staging services of Coinbase had violated the laws on securities.
However, the exchange rejected these claims, arguing that the implementation improves blockchain safety and does not meet the legal criteria described in American securities or the Howey test.
Validator performance
Validators play an important role in the network because they are responsible for the verification and validation of new transactions and blocks on the blockchain.
The report highlights the efficiency of Coinbase, its validators reaching an availability and participation rate of 99.75%.
The exchange said that its validators are distributed in several jurisdictions, including Japan, Singapore, Ireland, Germany and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, exchange validators use several execution and consensus customers to further improve safety and decentralization. This approach reduces the risk of network failures, reduces potential attacks and provides stable rewards.
Consequently, the exchange said that its validators have a perfect history of never reporting or being reduced.
The largest node operator
Anthony Sassano, an Ethereum educator and founder of the Daily Gwei, stressed that these figures mean that Coinbase is the largest operator of individual nodes on the network.
According to him:
“Coinbase (IS) The largest operator in network nodes (Lido is larger as a collective, but each node operator has a much smaller part).”
The data on Dune’s analysis show that Lido remains the dominant strength in the development of Ethereum, with more than 9 million ethmons milestone. This represents approximately 27.3% of the total shuttle market.
