What is Devcon?
Devcon is the biannual gathering of the global Ethereum community, organized by the Ethereum Foundation, to build and use decentralized systems.
It is:
- an intensive introduction for new Ethereum explorers
- a global reunion for long-time contributors
- a place where developers, researchers, community organizers, students and creators come together
- a conference for builders of all kinds
Devcon has always had a strong technical core (this is the DEVeloper CONference after all) and that remains true. But Ethereum’s applications extend far beyond protocol engineering and extend into the digital economy, research, art, community work, governance, public goods, and more.
Devcon is not just for developers. It is aimed at engineers, designers, researchers, infrastructure operators, educators, community organizers, social economists, artists, and everyone who builds systems that improve the world using Ethereum.
