Devcon 1 will perform in London from November 9 to 13, just over a hundred days since the launch of the Ethereum network. In recent months, we have seen the network go from a few hundred nodes from that exciting and special night to a very substantial stable platform and worldwide with thousands of developers pushing towards the decentralization revolution that motivates us and inspires us.

Devcon will have three main categories of subjects:

  • Basic search and basic protocols: Including proof of participation, scalability, networking protocols, confidentiality and evidence of zero knowledge, as well as some of the most mathematical aspects of decentralized protocols such as stablecoins, prediction markets and reputation systems. This part will be designed to be similar to an academic conference, in some respects in the spirit of Cryptocurrency.
  • DAPP development: Focus on the practical challenges of application development in addition to the Ethereum platform and effective design models to optimize the safety, efficiency, time of developers and user experience. This part will be designed to be similar to a programming language developer agreement, for example. http://nodejsconf.it/
  • Industry and social implications: Including IoT, finance, government, monitoring of the supply chain, notarization, identity and reputation. This part will be designed to please industry and the general public, and in particular those outside the Ethereum ecosystem which presents itself in order to understand what its features are and how their projects can benefit from the use of technology, as well as other interested parties such as decision -makers and investors.

The conference will take place more than 5 days from November 9 to 13 in London Gibson Hall. The first half of the week will focus on the research and development of the DAPP, and the second half of the week will focus on industry and social implications. We will also discuss how development will now continue that the platform has been launched, as well as the future orientation of the Foundation as an organization. We hope that during the week, you will be able to develop understanding and establish the connections you need to take advantage of the opportunities that present Ethereum.

There will be Keynotes from several of the main development teams, updating you on progress and new exciting projects, and as far as possible, we will endeavor to create the event live so that people who cannot do it can also arrive.

One of the features of the week will be the emphasis on the DAPPS that the community produces – a showcase, if you wish, of all the big things that happen on the Ethereum platform. Expect talks of development teams sharing what they have learned and detailed discussions on new businesses and commercial models activated by the Ethereum platform. If you think you have something to share, do not hesitate to contact us info@ethereum.org.

A website will soon be live at And we will add details on prices, agenda, sponsorships, etc. as the information becomes available.
