Hello Ethereum! Here is the latest update from the ethereum.org team:
Style guide and design upgrade
Ethereum.org is getting an upgrade! In January we published a style guide (figma doc) to gather public comments and reactions, and we are currently in the process of deploying it live on the site.
We have also published a set of design principles that help guide decisions about the site.
The rollout of the new site design will also include new layouts for existing pages – check out the changes already in effect, share your commentsand stay tuned for more updates over the coming weeks.
One of the most requested features for ethereum.org is a page that helps newcomers learn how to join the community.
In January, we launched a v1.0 of a Community pagewith the aim of giving people an easy way to get involved. The page currently includes lists of popular online communities, upcoming events, a list of meetup groups, and specific suggestions for how people with different backgrounds and skills can get involved in the Ethereum community. Thanks to everyone who helped create this page with ideas or content!
Are there other pages on ethereum.org that you think should exist? Please let us know!
Studio simplification
One of the main comments we received when we launched Studio functionality on ethereum.org is that the tool was always too complicated. Studio’s goal is to be the easiest and fastest way to start reading and writing smart contracts on Ethereum.
We have now simplified the tool further, reducing features and menu options that were not necessary for this specialized purpose.
We would love to have your help to continue improving it! Discover the open issues to learn how.
What’s next?
We have almost completed a full audit of all Individuals content on the site, with the help of some awesome members of the Ethereum community. This will result in content being removed and added, pages reorganized, and some existing content rewritten.
Next, we will conduct a similar audit of all “Developer” content on the site. Are you interested in joining our “Tiger Team” who will carry out the audit? Apply here!
We’re also continuing to roll out the design upgrade and are excited to share new page layouts with the community in the coming weeks.
Finally, we just announced our next community callwhich will take place on Wednesday March 25. Come join us and share your ideas or comments!
