If you’re unfamiliar, Spadina is a rapid dress rehearsal eth2 testnet that launches on September 29th with a 3-day EOL. If you want to test your deposit and genesis chops one last time before mainnet launches, then Spadina is for you: submit your deposits today! If this is your First of all eth2 testnet, be sure to check out the EthStaker Discord for advice and discussions. From there, you should be able to choose a client and navigate your way to client-specific discords.
Repository CLI Audit Completed
The eth2 community is currently engaged in a wave of audits on everything from specifications to cryptographic libraries to clients and command line tools.
We are delighted to announce that Trail of Pieces I just finished the verification of the eth2.0-cli-repository — A tool we expect it to be widely used by amateur gamers in conjunction with Launchpad. The cli development team is currently working on the 10 code quality findings and recommendations found in the report. You can track their progress here.
In addition to this audit, numerous audits are underway on the eth2 client software. Keep an eye on this problem to follow the latest developments.
PEI 2982
Last week Vitalik and I released EIP-2982: Serenity Phase 0.
Although he triggered a debate among publishers, the release of this EIP (✅), along with the selection of final mainnet v1.0 settings and the launch of the deposit contract (TBD, very soon), are some of the last remaining steps before the main network.
The Phase 0 mainnet is coming soon (no “™️” needed), and everyone involved is making final preparations for launch🚀
