FIFA + Collect NFT Migration explained
Based on the information shared on its website, the migration process will be free for all collection holders. However, FIFA noted that all the exported collectibles of the platform had to be replicated before May 20, 2025 to be included in migration. To facilitate this, FIFA collection accounts will temporarily allow the reinportation functionality. Holders who do not reproduce their items by the deadline must contact customer support and may have to go through an additional verification process.
FIFA’s decision to abandon algorands and create its EVM compatible blockchain network is a strategic step to position itself with a broader trend in the industry, because more and more projects embrace Ethereum standards to stimulate the scalability, interoperability and adoption of developers. FIFA seems to follow the injective imprint, which recently launched the EVM native support. Since then, he has reached high flow and has enabled advanced features such as AI on chain and the challenge of institutional quality.
