Fork or not fork

The DAO, but not a product developed by the Ethereum Foundation, was a recently burning subject, both internally in the organization than in our community. The hard fork is a delicate subject and the way we see it, no decision is the right one. As it is not a decision that can be made by the Foundation or any other entity, we are once again turning to the community to assess its wishes in order to provide the most appropriate change of protocol.

The specification proposed for the hard fork implemented in the Geth client is as follows:

The Dao (0xBB9BC244D798123FDE783FCC1C72D3BB8C189413), his extrabalancia (0x807640a13483f8ac783c557fcdf27be11ea4ac7a), all the children of the Creator Dao (0x4a574510c7014e4ae985403536074abe582adfc8) and the extrabalancia of each child is coded in a list L in the 1880000 block. The contents of the L can be seen here. At the beginning of block X (x = 1920000, July 20 or 21 according to your time zone), all the ether of all the accounts of the will be transferred to the contract C account, which is to (0xbf4ed7b27f1d666546e30d74d50d173d20bca754). You can check the C code C on C on etherscan. From this contract, holders of DAO tokens can submit their DAO in order to remove the ETH at a rate of 1 ETH = 100 DAO. The extrabalancia, as well as certain additional ethers which remain due to complications in the interactions between the resentment feat and the division mechanism, will be retrifiable by the conservative DAO to be distributed as the case may be to cover all the cases.

Additional information to facilitate the verification of specifications and the implementation of the fork should be published separately by the community; Code of consensus in GTH which implements the logic of the fork is covered by the bug premium program.

Unfortunately, time limits require rapid adoption before a change of protocol becomes unshape. The community tool carbon will be used to define the default fork option for Geth. In the 1894000 block number, the votes will be recorded, and the result will determine if the default value is defined fork Or do not stuff. Then merge the Dao Fork Prs will proceedfollowed shortly by an outing for Geth and Mist. Users with critical applications that must update quickly should frequently check the blog and social media for current updates.
