Grayscale, a digital asset management company, today staked 857,600 ETH worth $3.8 billion on its Ethereum ETP products. The move represents one of the largest institutional staking positions on the Ethereum network.
Staked tokens are distributed between Grayscale’s ETHE and ETH ETFs, both of which now offer staking rewards to investors through on-chain stake.
Grayscale has become the leading provider of staking capabilities in US-listed Ethereum ETPs, connecting crypto rewards to regulated investment vehicles. This feature allows traditional investors to earn returns through Ethereum’s proof-of-stake consensus mechanism without directly managing digital wallets or validator nodes.
Grayscale has reportedly staked nearly 890,000 ETH, following the launch of its first crypto staking ETPs in the United States.
