My first hardware wallet was a Ledger Nano X, but since I usually buy and hold long-term, I didn’t use it often. Over time, I started having battery issues, especially during charging, and eventually struggled to access my crypto because of it.
So I switched to a Tangem 2-card setup. Long story short: I forgot my PIN and hid the second card (needed for PIN reset) so well that I can’t find it.
Now I’m about to switch to a new phone, and transferring the Tangem app requires the PIN. I still have full access on my current phone (via the app + fingerprint), so I know I need to move my crypto soon.
My question:
Should I just buy a new Tangem 3-card pack? Or would I be better off switching to something like the Trezor Safe 5? I liked Tangem's simplicity and the fact that I didn’t need to write down a 24-word seed phrase — but losing the cards feels too risky now.
What would you recommend?
