The founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, described the plans to pursue partnerships with major protocols, notably Aave, Chainlink and World Liberty Financial Stablecoin USD1.
In a session of request for everything (AMA) to ask me on August 31, Hoskinson argued that such integrations are crucial to strengthen the Cardano ecosystem and guarantee that blockchain remains competitive in industry.
He said:
“I would like to USD-1, I would like Aave, I would like ChainLink. There is a package there, and we work our way through what it means and how to do it.”
Why these partnerships count for Cardano
The USD1 is the Stablecoin project developed under World Liberty Financial, a DEFI initiative supported by US President Donald Trump.
Despite the launch recently, the asset has increased to become the sixth largest stablecoin by market capitalization and has already experienced significant institutional adoption through transactions involving binance and bullish exchanges.
Given this, such integration would bring liquidity and credibility to the Stablecoin and Cardano challenge markets, which have experienced difficulties over the years.
Meanwhile, Aave is the largest decentralized loan protocol with nearly $ 40 billion in total locked value. Its inclusion could transform the relatively underdeveloped loan sector in Cardano, offering new opportunities to users and developers.
ChainLink provides another critical component. The Oracle network connects blockchains to real world data, ensuring that intelligent contracts run safely and precisely.
Hoskinson stressed that the lack of support for the chain has already harmed Cardano’s visibility. He underlined the American Ministry of Commerce, which bypassed Cardano during the distribution of economic data flows because the blockchain lacked integration with Chainlink and Pyth.
Given this, he said:
“It becomes more difficult because competition becomes more difficult, and it is frustrating for me because obvious things to do – such as integrations with other ecosystems – the absence of these integrations means that we let ourselves be left.”
