A project of the Privado ID identity verification company and the private age supplier was selected for the third cohort of European blockchain dialogues.
The duo will focus on age verification through self-souveraine identity (SSI). The age insurance tool is designed to avoid disclosing sensitive personal information such as date of birth or national identification numbers by taking advantage of zero knowledge evidence (ZKPS) and verifiable identification information (VC).
Privado ID plans to use the sandbox to test the frame of billions of billions. The identity verification protocol was launched in February to compete with global identification, civic and others in the space of proof of person (POP) and allow users to prove their humanity.
As a initiative of the European Commission, the European blockchain sandbox aims to engage with regulators on innovative use cases involving distributed large book technologies (DLT). The use case focuses on compliance with the GDPR, in particular with regard to data minimization, user consent and secure data management. He also aligned himself with the European digital identity framework and will seek regulatory advice on the use of decentralized identifiers for cross -border services.
