For over a decade, Kraken has provided users with a safe way to engage in the world of crypto, helping usher in a new financial era. Today, this mission takes a step further with Ink, an OP Stack Layer 2 (L2) blockchain providing security and safety for crypto enthusiasts to engage in the world of DeFi.
And developers, we want you to be a part of it.
Ink Testnet Overview
This invitation begins with the Ink testnet.
A testnet is an instance of the main network, used for testing and research purposes. Here, developers can deploy new products, scan for bugs, and scan for vulnerabilities with no real stakes at stake.
The Ink testnet runs on Sepolia, an Ethereum proof-of-stake testnet that mimics mainnet functionality. Sepolia is the recommended testnet for Ethereum developers and is supported by the Ethereum Foundation.
Our testnet simulates the future Ink mainnet environment. It has a block explorer, ready-to-go RPC endpoints, an easy-to-use bridge so you can connect your Sepolia ETH to Ink, and many other typical infrastructure you’ll find on the mainnet.
We invite you to try it. Here are some resources to get you started.
