July 2025 – The Internet Computer Protocol (ICP), in collaboration with the global ICP Hubs Network, proudly announces the World Computer Hacker League—a groundbreaking, global hackathon running from July to October 2025. Designed to turn bold ideas into real-world applications, this event is poised to be one of the most ambitious blockchain hackathons to date.
This multi-month initiative invites developers, entrepreneurs, and creators from around the world to explore the limitless potential of decentralized technology through ICP. Participants will receive unparalleled technical support, including direct guidance from ICP Hubs, DevRels, and DFINITY engineers.

Participants can compete in one of five thematic tracks designed to push the boundaries of what’s possible with blockchain technology:
- AI Track: Use ICP to build decentralized, trustless AI applications—from on-chain models to autonomous smart agents—free from centralized control.
- Bitcoin DeFi Track: Leverage ICP’s native Bitcoin integration to develop cutting-edge DeFi apps that reimagine how Bitcoin is used across finance.
- Fully On-Chain Track: Build platforms that live entirely on-chain—social media, DAOs, or marketplaces—with no off-chain dependencies, ensuring total decentralization.
- RWA (Real World Assets) Track: Tokenize tangible assets such as real estate or art using ICP, unlocking new ownership models and bridging physical-digital value.
- Open Track: A playground for pioneers. If your vision doesn’t fit a defined track, this category allows you to create freely—pushing Web3’s frontier.
