Is Bitcoin entering a new phase, or just repeating history?

I’ve been following Bitcoin since 2017, and each cycle still manages to surprise me. The halving just passed, and here we are again — rising interest, surging prices, and debates over institutional adoption vs. decentralization.

What’s different this time is the level of mainstream integration. ETFs, major banks offering custody services, governments talking about BTC reserves — it feels more “official” than ever. At the same time, there’s still that core ethos of “be your own bank” and mistrust of centralized systems.

I’m curious what you all think: Are we seeing a fundamental shift in how Bitcoin is perceived (and used)? Or is this just another leg in the same old four-year cycle dance?

Would love to hear your thoughts — especially from people who lived through earlier cycles (2013, 2017, 2021). How does this compare?
