Krak launches UK accounts with 1% salary match

This is a genuine UK account on Faster Payments and SEPA, the same infrastructure that your employer’s payroll system, energy supplier and HMRC already recognize.

A proper UK account, not a workaround

If you’ve ever tried to get paid with an account outside the UK, you’ll know the problem. Some employers reject the mandate. Payroll systems report details.

Krak removes this friction. Your sort code and account number are placed on the Faster Payments rails and behave exactly like any other UK bank account. Employers and payroll systems recognize it instantly, no calls to HR, no rejection of automated payroll systems.

Send and receive money seamlessly

GBP transfers make payments faster, usually arriving within seconds. Sending money to a friend, paying a bill, receiving an independent payment, it all runs on the same local rail that any major bank uses.

Payments in EUR via SEPA are also managed natively. If you split your financial life between the UK and Europe, transfers are done directly without requiring you to go through a conversion step that you didn’t request.

Connected to the systems that matter

This is where most fintech apps go wrong. They give you a card and a balance, but that doesn’t connect to the real financial plumbing. This is a comprehensive checking account that fits into your existing financial setup.

Salary Match: Get paid up to £3,000 a year1

This is the feature that changes the economics of how you get paid. Most accounts don’t give you anything to deposit your paycheck into. Krak gives you up to 1% back every payday, automatically, indefinitely, with no promotional expiration date.

Mathematics:

  • £3,000/month → £30 refunded
  • £5,000/month → £50 refunded
  • £9,000/month → £90 refunded

Up to £250 per month. Up to £3,000 per year.

This is not a sign-up bonus that disappears after 90 days. This is a recurring monthly reward for as long as your salary lands in Krak. Over two years, a monthly salary of £5,000 generates £1,200 in Salary Match alone, before you’ve spent a penny. And as the correspondence is credited at the beginning of each month of the following month, it naturally accumulates with your balance. The longer you stay, the more it accumulates.

How to qualify

There is no application or approval process. The steps:

  1. Open your Krak account: Check your account details in the app.
  2. Share your contact details: Send your sort code and account number to your employer, payroll provider, or clients.
  3. Qualify automatically: Any salary paid during the calendar month counts.
  4. Get matched monthly: Be credited at the start of the following month.

To find your IBAN: open the Krak application → tap Receive → press Bank

Up to 2% Cash Back on Every Purchase

The Krak card earns you 2% in GBP on everything you spend.2 3 No category ceiling, no rotation structures, no annual contribution. Combined with Salary Match, the numbers stack up quickly. With £2,000 monthly spending and a salary of £5,000, you earn £90 a month, or £1,080 a year, just by getting paid and spending normally.

AutoEarn: Up to 4% rewards on your tGBP balance

Krak AutoEarn lets you earn up to 4% rewards on your tGBP balance, right in the app.4 Rewards accumulate automatically, no lock-in, no separate savings pot to manage.
