In an October 11 blog post, internationally renowned digital artist Beeple confirmed that he had successfully sold the fourth edition of his Heaven + Hell non-fungible token collection to Kanbas. Beeple is a renowned American digital artist, graphic designer, and animator known for selling collections of non-fungible tokens. In his artistry, Beeple uses various media to create comedic and spooky works that make political and social commentary while using pop culture figures as references. Beeple entered the crypto market in 2018, but remained passive until early 2020, when it began learning about then-newly launched NFTs.

Fast forward to late 2020, NFT artist Beeple tokenized his “Everydays: The First 5000 Days” as an NFT collection, which subsequently rose in value and sold for almost $70 million. In October 2020, days before the US presidential election, Beeple released three artworks on the NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway, including an NFT collection titled “Politics Is Bullshit”, which sold for over 6.6 million dollars.

Since then, Beeple, known for its groundbreaking NFT art, has launched some of the most expensive NFT collections such as Mother of Evolution, Human One, a 3D kinetic video sculpture, Pilgrimage, Spring/Summer Collection 2021, Genesis NFT Collection, All Hail The King Collection, Everydays: Group Effort by Beeple Collection, Time The Future of Business Super Rare, Beeple // Everydays: The Rebirth of Godzilla and many other NFT collections.

Beeple Heaven + Hell 4th Edition NFT Collection Preview

Beeple has launched the fourth edition of its Heaven+ Hell NFT collection using generative AI. To make this work more unique, Beeple used open source models trained on millions of historical depictions of heaven and hell. In this way, the artwork represents the middle human understanding of these complex abstract concepts. The NFT artwork features two rotating boxes that reflect the polar opposites of these ideas.
