The prolonged bear market for non-fungible tokens has started to impact digital asset events and infrastructure. NFT Paris, organizer of one of the largest annual conferences on cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens in the world, is a perfect example of a crypto project impacted by the current slowdown in the NFT market. NFT Paris has canceled its highly anticipated annual NFT event, citing difficult market conditions.
NFT Paris 2026 canceled
In a January 5 blog post, NFT Paris announced that it had canceled its highly anticipated NFT event. “After four editions which brought together the global Web3 community in Paris, we must face the facts: NFT Paris 2026 will not take place. The stock market crash hit us hard. Despite drastic cost reductions and months of effort to organize the event, we were unable to make it a reality this year,” the organizers wrote.

Launched in January 2022, NFT Paris is Europe’s first and largest annual web3 and NFT event, hosted in Paris, France. It brings together thousands of enthusiasts, artists, brands and investors to explore blockchain, digital art, AI and tokenization. The event features numerous speakers and side events throughout the city. The NFT Conference serves as a hub for the web3 community to discuss the future of digital property, art, and decentralized technology.
NFT Paris also attracts a diverse group, including entrepreneurs, collectors, traders and major brands looking to enter the space. The NFT event attracts over 20,000 visitors and features over 400 speakers. Discussions often focus on hot topics such as generative AI, DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure networks), tokenization, and institutional adoption of blockchain technology. In recent years, NFT Paris has been held at the Grand Palais Éphémère.
The health of the NFT market
Over the past three months, the global NFT market has seen a significant slowdown, leading to losses for many NFT collections. The NFT winter began in November 2025, leading to a 60% decline from the market peak of January 2025. In response to the difficult NFT market conditions, NFT Paris canceled its annual 2026 event. The 2026 edition was scheduled for February 5 and 6 at the Grande Halle de la Villette.
Alongside NFT Paris, several parallel summits took place, including RWA Paris, focused on real-world assets, Ordinals Paris, dedicated to Bitcoin-based digital collectibles, and XYZ Paris, covering artificial intelligence, DePIN and other Web3 technologies. All of these NFT events were also canceled, along with the main conference. The team committed to refunding ticket holders within 15 days and apologized to participants who had already booked their flights and accommodation in Paris.
