Pakistan has announced its intention to establish a national cryptography council dedicated to the supervision of the policy and regulation of cryptocurrencies.
According to the local news report dated February 26, 2025, “the Ministry of Finance announced that it was considering” the establishment of a national cryptography council “to adopt emerging digital currencies, in accordance with global trends.” The Crypto National Council proposed by the country will serve as an advisory body including representatives of the government, regulatory authorities and industry experts.

The decision to establish the National Crypto Council follows a meeting between Pakistani officials and foreign delegates, including the advisers of the Donald Trump digital asset team.
