The Ethereum Protocol Stock Exchange finished its fifth cohort, culminating with EPF day in Devcon in Bangkok. Its completion has marked 5 months of immersive learning, research and contribution to the basic Ethereum ecosystem of a group of talented and dedicated comrades. The developers and researchers of customers welcomed new contributors, some of which have remained long -term with them.
In addition, the second iteration of the protocol study group ended after 2 months of intensive learning on the basic protocol.

What’s new
With each cohort, we collect comments and learn more about how to improve the experience for comrades and Ethereum developers. EPF5 has made some notable changes, which led to a very productive cohort.
Before EPF5, we organized the first Protocol study group which lasted 10 weeks leading to EPF5. During these 10 weeks, students participated in a study program designed to educate all areas of the protocol. This has led to much more fluid integration, because many scholarship holders are ready for EPF with more knowledge and resources.
The other major change to EPF5 was the duration, extended from 4 to 5 months, giving the scholarship holders an additional month to refine their projects and target larger glasses.
Similarly to past cohorts, we welcomed the EPF day in Devcon to close the cohort. However, for EPF5, we also organized an additional day of the EPF to the start of the cohort during the ETHCC in Brussels. This event gave the scholarship holders the opportunity to meet and mentors and present the projects on which they will work thanks to the cohort.
EPF5 statistics
The requests from the fifth cohort opened in May 2024. After examining more than 300 requests, 20 participants received initial allowances to participate in the stock market working on basic R&D projects. Because the program is open, 25 additional participants joined without authorization. After the period of 5 months and more than 500 weekly updates, we concluded the cohort with 30 active scholarship holders at the EPF Day in Bangkok.
EPF5 projects
In total, the scholarship holders proposed and contributed to 30 projects, with mentors of various customers and research teams, notably Granddine, Prysm, Lighthouse, Besu, Nimbus, Nethermin, Geth, Teku, Rig and Reth. These projects represent not only a precious learning experience, but also significant contributions to the basic Ethereum ecosystem. The protocol study group continues
THE Protocol study group is back for 2025! With a renewed format, starting with an intensive intensive 2 -week the existing resources and followed by an additional 6 weeks of new conferences from basic developers. Combined, we have created even more full study program With a dedicated focus on each part of the execution and consensus layer.
It is not only a precursor program for the EPF, but a complete program for anyone who wants to know more about the main protocol of Ethereum. The materials and records of study group sessions are always available as a structured learning experience, as well as a collaborative wiki built by independent contributors.
