According to a blog post on Tuesday, the company described this expansion as part of a long -term strategy aimed at nourishing the talents of blockchain and academic research in one of the most active fintech regions in the world.
“Asia-Pacific has long been a hub for Innovation Fintech and Blockchain, and Ripple has been proud to invest in the academic talents of the region from the start,” said Eric Van Miltenburg, vice-president of Ripple’s strategic initiatives.
In South Korea, Ripple has renewed a $ 1.1 million partnership over six years with Korea University and continues to support research at Yonsei University and Hanyang University. Professors, there is zero knowledge proof technology, layer 2 solutions and confidentiality -oriented tools.
Ripple has also extended its support to Japan, where total Ubri funding for Tokyo University and Kyoto University now exceeds $ 1.5 million.
Singapore also remains a key partner. Ripple has provided a new subsidy to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and renewed funding for the National University of Singapore (NUS), lifting its total funding in the country to more than $ 3 million. In NTU, research teams build a network of AI agents on the large XRP book.
“This subsidy considerably improves our research and allows us to pursue high impact projects,” said Professor Yang Liu of NTU. “It also allows more students and researchers to engage with the blockchain ecosystem.”
In Taiwan, Ripple launches its first Ubri partnership with the National University of Sciences and Technology in Kaohsiung (NKUST). The University will explore the tokenization of active active people using XRPL and will launch a Student Builder Club and XRPL Validator.
Australia also notes a renewed investment. The Australian National University (ANU) has obtained funding to support legal research on the development of blockchain and XRPL. Victoria University has joined Ubri to work in the blockchain study program and applied research.
Funding supports blockchain law courses, research on layer 2 platforms such as Evernode and students’ publications.
Since its launch, Ubri has invested more than $ 11 million in Asia and has teamed up with 13 institutions in the region. Ripple plans to bring together the world’s blockchain researchers this year for its seventh annual Ubri Connect, organized during the XRP Ledger Apex event in Singapore.
“Seven years after the start of the Ubri and with 60 university partners worldwide, we have seen the value of long-term collaboration first, Asia-Pacific has long been a hub of blockchain innovation, and we are proud to deepen our investment here,” added Eric.
Ripple is expanding the world’s impact with education and startup subsidies in 2025 push
While Ripple increases its support for research on blockchain in Asia-Pacific, the company also deepens its global philanthropic efforts.

Funding will support a wide range of educational programs throughout the year, covering thousands of projects in class, Teach for America’s Ignite Tutoring Program and Stem Innovation Challenge.
This occurs shortly after the $ 50 million subsidy in Ripple in March to support the launch of the National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA), a non-profit organization working to educate cryptography in the United States
The NCA plans to offer educational resources and a public commitment to help users better understand the use of the real world of cryptography.
A survey supported by Ripple revealed that more than 80% of Americans want more advice on digital assets.
Meanwhile, in Asia, Ripple has extended its support for web3 projects in the start -up phase in Japan thanks to a new partnership with the Asia Web3 Alliance Salon.
Startups based on the Ledger XRP (XRPL) can request subsidies up to $ 200,000 per project, funded by the XRPL Japan and Korea Fund of Ripple, a tranche of its XRP developer initiative of 1 billion.
