Robinhood, the commission-free trading platform, is giving away $500,000 worth of Dogecoin (DOGE) to users who participate in its Hood Holidays countdown, which just started tonight.
Besides DOGE, a meme-inspired token that has become one of the most recognized digital assets, the team is also offering prizes such as Rolex watches and Apple AirPods as part of the festive campaign.
However, on the first day of the event, many users reported experiencing issues in the Robinhood app that prevented them from claiming rewards during the five-minute window. Some reported waiting in advance, only to be shown a blank screen and later told they had missed rewards.
Hey @RobinhoodApp – what gives? I participated in today’s countdown and received a blank screen, I was unable to participate in the countdown. I was waiting a few minutes before the countdown and still couldn’t get it. pic.twitter.com/D4p7rX5L0H

The notification showed a countdown to 8:30am, I believe today since no other date or time is mentioned. This is where I am and I haven’t received anything. @RobinhoodApp @Ask Robinhood pic.twitter.com/bveycD7RhC
