In a video posted earlier today, Kevin Paffrath, founder and host of the YouTube channel “Meet Kevin,” details the shocking details surrounding the second assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump. Paffrath’s video paints a chilling picture of the events that unfolded at the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the alleged shooter, Ryan Wesley Routh, had strategically positioned himself.

Paffrath begins by walking viewers through the exact location where the attempt took place. Using detailed maps and images, he shows how Routh found a hidden spot just outside the sixth hole of Trump’s International Golf Course. Routh’s position was protected by ficus bushes, providing perfect cover while still offering a clear line of sight to Trump from about 300 to 500 yards away. Paffrath highlights how easy it was for the suspect to park nearby, retrieve his equipment, and position himself undetected.

According to Paffrath, the suspect was armed with an AK-47 rifle with a scope, which gave him a significant advantage in terms of accuracy and distance. The shooter also set up a GoPro to film the incident. But most concerning, Paffrath points out, was Routh’s use of ceramic plates, likely made from Kevlar-type body armor. He placed the plates along the chain-link fence, creating a makeshift barricade that could protect him from any return fire. Paffrath points out how quickly this whole setup could have been deployed and how dangerous it was, given the rifle’s range and the minimal cover available to the intelligence community.

Once the threat was identified, the Secret Service fired four to six shots at the suspect, but all missed. Routh quickly fled the scene, jumping into a black Nissan and driving away. Thanks to a witness who took a photo of the vehicle, local police issued a BOLO (Be-On-the-Lookout) alert. Paffrath explains that modern police vehicles are equipped with radar detection systems that can automatically scan license plates, speeding up the search process. These devices allowed police to quickly locate the suspect’s car, but Paffrath stresses how alarming it is that Routh was able to escape the scene so easily, even after a direct confrontation with the Secret Service.

One of the most important points Paffrath makes in the video is the lack of security around Trump, despite the fact that this was the second assassination attempt on the former president. He questions why the Secret Service wasn’t more vigilant, especially since there had already been warnings about Trump’s vulnerability at that particular location. Paffrath draws comparisons to a previous assassination attempt, where Trump was also targeted from about a quarter-mile away, and points out that similar security lapses occurred in both incidents.

He also points to the FBI’s official statement, which he says suggests that Trump, as a former president, does not enjoy the same high-level protection as the current president. Paffrath raises the critical question of whether potential future presidents are afforded adequate protection, especially given the high stakes of political violence in the current climate.

During his re-election campaign, Trump shifted his stance on cryptocurrencies. Earlier this summer, he spoke at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, where he pledged to fire SEC Chairman Gary Gensler if re-elected and pledged to halt the U.S. government’s sale of his bitcoin holdings, totaling 213,000 BTC.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at around $58,672, down 2.5% in the last 24 hours.

The next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC Committee) will be held on September 17-18, and on Wednesday afternoon, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is expected to announce a rate cut of at least 25 basis points, which could help boost the price of risk assets such as US stocks and cryptocurrencies.
