What started as an experiment has become proof that blockchain applications can thrive in a mobility-driven world. Over the course of the season, over 265 decentralized applications participated, generating 9 million transactions and an impressive $2.6 billion on-chain volume. More than 100,000 users, known as Seekers, contributed to its creation.
Today, the project enters its next phase. The SKR token is expected to launch on January 21 at 2 a.m. UTC or January 20 at 9 p.m. EST, with Season 2 already underway.
Researchers Season Shows Crypto Mobile Can Scalable
Seeker Season was designed to test whether users would actively interact with crypto apps on mobile devices. The results speak for themselves. Millions of transactions were flowing through wallets, games, trading tools and social apps, all from phones. This fits with a broader trend in crypto.
A simple example helps explain the impact. A user from one country can trade tokens, create an NFT, or play a blockchain game during a commute, all without opening a laptop. This level of convenience has been a missing piece for mainstream adoption. The scale reached during Seeker Season suggests that mobile could be a key gateway for the next wave of crypto users.
The first-ever Seeker Season is complete, with over 265 dApps, 9 million transactions, and $2.6 billion in volume.
Thank you to the more than 100,000 researchers who participated.

The participation of hundreds of apps is also important for investors. High activity across many products shows a healthy ecosystem rather than a single use case driving volume.
SKR launch and airdrop details take shape
After Season 1 ended, the team confirmed that a snapshot had been taken. This snapshot records activity eligible for the next SKR airdrop. Twenty percent of SKR’s total supply was set aside for users and developers, rewarding those who contributed to building and using the ecosystem.
Seeker season 2 starts now! More information will arrive tomorrow.
SKR is scheduled to launch on January 21 at 2 a.m. UTC (January 20 at 9 p.m. EST). Stay tuned to learn more about airdrop allowances and the claims process.

Airdrops have become a common way for crypto projects to distribute tokens and build loyal communities. According to industry data, some of the most widely held tokens today began with user-driven distributions rather than private sales. Seeker follows this playbook by tying rewards to real-world usage.
