On May 5, 2025, the reports confirmed that the mobile Move-to-Garn Stepn mobile application signed a long-term partnership with Argentina Football Association (AFA) to issue NFT digital sneakers in honor of the legendary football team. During the next two years, the Lifestyle social application and AFA will collaborate to pay tribute to fans with prices and lotteries, while the association is developing in web3.

Launched in March 2022, Stepn is a mobile Move-to-Great mobile game application (M2E) built on the Solana blockchain network which rewards users for physical movement, such as walking, jogging or outdoor race. Users can gain cryptocurrency by equipping themselves with NFT sneakers and engaging in these activities. To participate, NFT users must buy NFT sneakers designed for walking, jogging, running or training.
On the other hand, Argentina Football Association (AFA), officially known as Asociación del Fútbol Argentino, is the director of football in Argentina. He is a member of FIFA and Conmebol, the world and the South American football directors, respectively. AFA oversees all aspects of sport in Argentina, including professional leagues, national teams and young people’s development.

As part of the new integration, Argentina Football Association (AFA) and Stepn plan to join Hands to issue new digital sneakers Genesis Nft, which will unlock real awards for NFT and football fans, including dedicated jerseys and match tickets. While commenting on the new integration, Mr. Leandro Petersen, Sales Director and Marketing of AFA, pointed out:
“AFA’s trip to web3 continues to grow and thanks to the Stepn experience, the AFA will be able to reach millions of users in the web3 space in order to consolidate the passion and the excellence that our team transmits to the next generation of fans of the Argentine national team”.
However, this is not the first time that Stepn has emits NFT digital sneakers. In 2021, the Lifestyle social application launched its own Genesis NFT collection in collaboration with Adidas, an emblematic brand that designs and manufactures sports shoes, clothes and accessories. The Stepn and Adidas NFT collections presented a limited edition of 1,000 digital sneakers, which were sold at a price of 10,000 GMT per entry, with a reimbursement for those who have not won.
