Agent commerce is everywhere. It’s about how AI agents will contribute to the economy by buying and selling services. When you create an agent to do lead generation research and they have to pay for an API call OR pay for the information they get from a search platform, how is that going to happen?
And as you can see from our friends at the Artemis data platform, 152 crypto companies are currently exploring solutions to try to become leaders in this rapidly growing sector. So who is in the lead now? And more importantly, who might be the leader in a year or two? Here are some possibilities and Sui is one of them.
Virtuals
Virtuals are establishing themselves deeply in the agent business. For most of you, this is no surprise given
- Its Coinbase connection since it works on Base ET
- It is one of, if not the, leading AI agent marketplace in crypto.
A 10-day hackathon is underway with Virtuals and Synthesis. This is specifically agent trading and thousands of prizes are at stake. Virtuals has an ACP or Agent Commerce Protocol that helps it connect and integrate with other applications and platforms. This is the MCP form specific to the AI agent. MCP is Model Context Protocol, which allows Claude Code or Openclaw to directly integrate and work with files in your Google Drive, as an example. Or log in with a third-party app.

Virtuals is the leader in crypto agent trading. And that’s because it makes x402 transactions easier. X402 is a payment standard for agent transactions. This means it can be agent and person or agent to agent. Its main competitor, which we will talk about in a video soon, is Bittensor. No one else in the crypto space comes close to the AI agent activity for these two projects. Coming back to x402, the big risk is that we don’t know whether or not it will become the main payment standard. But he’s the leader right now.
Sui

This is Adeniyi Abiodun, co-founder of Sui, talking about Sui and its partnership with Google. Google is also a leader in the x402 payment standard. And we know what Google does matters. Sui already has Walrus for its decentralized storage and verifiable data as part of the Sui Stack. And it’s an important feature for manufacturers considering AI agents.
AI Agent Lab Beep has just announced its Agent Trader R2 on Sui for use in trading on BlueFin. The agent business is going to be huge. Agents will buy real products. We also know that, for now, AI agents are having a big impact on trading. This is another similar case. And right here on Sui.
AI agents choose the most efficient and secure path, and that path will be Sui.@EmanAbio joined @maximichielsen And @PapaDari_ on the @21shares podcast to explain why Sui will be the backbone of global payments, agentic economics and long-term crypto adoption 👇

As Abiodun says here in this clip, Sui offers the best combination of speed, cost, security and scalability that agent transactions need. If you haven’t looked, Sui is really big on agents and the agent business. They held an Openclaw hackathon in February. Sui is designed for autonomous agent transactions. They explained on their own blog in January how they were building the soon-to-arrive agent economy. And having projects on Sui that already facilitate agent-to-agent payments puts them ahead of most.
Just this week, Walrus explains how it can work seamlessly with NVIDIA’s new NemoClaw adaptation of the Openclaw agent platform. Everyone in the Sui Stack is aware of AI agents and their impact.
Some tokenized actions
There are now other projects that do a lot with agent commerce. Ethereum has its ERC-8004, which is becoming an agent standard like x402. BNB Chain also receives many agents and transactions. ERC 8004 is the standard that allows agents to communicate with each other and carry out transactions even if they use different languages and frameworks. It is a type of connection technology like MCP and APIs.
And there are other projects we can recommend, two of which I just named. But in this case, there are 2 projects that are far and away leading the way in developing the tools and infrastructure that AI agents need.
And those two are Coinbase and Google.
Coinbase, as I mentioned in the Virtuals section, is leading on x402. They are currently positioned as the largest agent payment opportunity outside of what Visa and Mastercard do. And they move too. But all 3 can win.
Tokenized Coinbase, with the symbol $COINX, is available on xStocks, as well as on Coinbase, Kraken and as $COINon on Ondo Global Markets. So you have plenty of choices if you want to buy Coinbase stock for its AI agent potential.

Google is active in x402 and is the founder of the AP2 protocol. This is the agent payment protocol. And this allows payments between agents and people and between agents and agents. And another interesting thing is that AP2 works with fiat and with crypto. This makes it more likely to win, especially in the near term, where crypto adoption numbers are still lower than we would like.
Plus, Google is big enough to create its own marketplace. When they speak, people listen. GOOGLx is available on xStocks and GOOGLon is available on Ondo Global Markets.
These two tech stocks are leading the way in how agents will interact on the web and how they will pay for things. So if you are bullish on the agent trade, then you need to take a look at these two.
