The founder and CEO of stablecoin company Tether (USDT) says whoever wins the next US presidential election should support crypto growth.

In an interview, Paolo Ardoino said that while the United States has always been the world leader, this is not the case when it comes to crypto.

“The United States has always been at the forefront of technological development in every field and I think as I’ve grown up, this is the first time in history that I’ve seen the United States drop the ball.”

Ardoino says one of the issues he hopes the next US president will address is crypto regulation.

“Regardless of who wins the election, I think it’s very important that crypto regulations – sensible crypto regulations and stable coin regulations – come to fruition in a way that will protect end users and help also this incredible technology to prosper and become the benchmark. a lifeline for hundreds of millions of people who do not have the same opportunities as people living in the United States and Europe.

He claims that US crypto regulations will have a significant impact around the world.

“The United States plays an extremely important role in this dialogue. Everyone, every regulator in the world will look to the United States for… regulations. So I hope that happens soon.
