The Texas Tribune will host the blockchain and the future economy at 9 am on March 4.
The blockchain has created new currencies and its boosters promise that it will change the internet. He struck new industries and millionaires in Texas and stimulated all kinds of state and private investments. Heads of state continue to promote industry, but also try to respond to concerns that things like the extraction of the cryptocurrency overwhelm the state’s electricity network.
Matthew Watkins, editor -in -chief of Texas Tribune, will sit with:
- Lee Bratcher, president of Texas Blockchain Council;
- Cesare Fracassi, Associate Professor of Finance and Director of the Blockchain initiative at the Texas McCombs School of Business from the University of Texas in Austin; And
- Carol Haines, head of power and politics at Core Scientific.
They will help explain this technology, to explore its impact on the state and to assess whether Texas responds to the opportunities and challenges it presents.
The doors open at 8:30 am and the one hour conversation begins at 9 a.m.
