Egyptian al Ahly FC enters the NFT space

The International Director of Football, FIFA, launched its NFT Marketplace FIFA Collect in partnership with the Blockchain Modex software company in 2023. The platform scans moments and articles related to emblematic football belonging to football clubs and national teams. These digitized art forms are then sold on FIFA collect for football enthusiasts to buy, own and exchange emblematic historical pieces of the football teams they love.
When it was launched in 2023, FIFA launched some of its NFT collections on Polygon, an Ethereum scaling network. He launched these NFT collections on the Opensea NFT market platform. Currently, the FIFA collection platform is hosted on the Algorand blockchain. However, FIFA recently announced its intention to migrate to its own FIFA blockchain compatible with ethereum before the end of this month.
As part of the new integration, the Egyptian Al Ahly plans to take advantage of the NFT FIFA + Collectual functionality to offer digital collectibles to its fans as part of the efforts to increase its digital presence and its commitment of fans. While commenting on FIFA + Collect and Al Ahly Football Club (FC) collaboration, Amir Tawfik, managing director of Al Ahly FC in Egypt, pointed out:
