In the fall of 2023, Hollywood writers took a position against the encroachment of AI on their profession. Fear: AI produced scripts and would erode authentic narration. Quick advance a year later, and public service advertising features deepfake versions of celebrities like Taylor Swift and Tom Hanks, warning against the disinformation of the elections.

We are a few months after the beginning of 2025. However, the expected result of AI in the democratization of access to the future of entertainment illustrates a rapid evolution – of a broader societal calculation with distorted reality and massive disinformation.

Although it is “AI era”, almost 52% of Americans are more concerned than in its growing role in daily life. Add to this the conclusions of another recent survey that 68% of consumers hover over the world between “somewhat” and “very” concerned about online privacy, motivated by fears of the deceived media.

These are no longer memes or deep buttocks. The media generated by AI fundamentally modify how digital content is produced, distributed and consumed. AI models can now generate hyper realistic images, videos and voices, raising urgent concerns about property, authenticity and ethical use. The ability to create synthetic content with a minimum of effort has deep implications for industries that depend on the integrity of the media. This indicates that the unocchemented propagation of deep leaflets and unauthorized reproductions without secure verification method completely threatens confidence in digital content. This, in turn, affects the central user base: content creators and companies, which are faced with increasing risks of legal disputes and reputation damage.

Although blockchain technology has often been presented as a reliable solution to possession of content and decentralized control, it is only today, with the advent of generating AI, that its prominence as a safeguard has increased, in particular in terms of scalability and consumer confidence. Consider decentralized verification networks. These make it possible to authenticate the content generated by AI-AI on several platforms without any authority dictating algorithms linked to the behavior of the user.

Current intellectual property laws are not designed to approach the media generated by AI, leaving critical gaps in regulations. If an AI model produces a piece of content, which legally has it? The person who provides the contribution, the company behind the model or person at all? Without clear property records, disputes on digital assets will continue to degenerate. This creates a volatile digital environment where manipulated media can erode confidence in journalism, financial markets and even geopolitical stability. The world of cryptography is not immune to that. Deepfakes and sophisticated attacks built by AI provoke insurmountable losses, with reports highlighting how scams by AI targeting cryptographic wallets have jumped in recent months.

The blockchain can authenticate digital assets and ensure transparent property follow -up. Each support element generated by AI can be recorded in the air, offering an excited history of its creation and its modification.

Approached to a digital digital imprint for the content generated by AI, by permanently linking it to its source, allowing creators to prove the property, companies to follow the use of content and consumers to validate authenticity. For example, a game developer could record an asset made in AI on the blockchain, ensuring that its origin is traceable and protected against flight. The studios could use the blockchain in the production of films to certify scenes generated by AI, preventing unauthorized distribution or manipulation. In Metaversse applications, users could maintain complete control over their avatars and digital identities generated by AI, the blockchain acting as a large unchanging book for authentication.
