A basic board of the crypto bull thesis is that the regulations will be lax under the Trump administration.
Although this may prove to be real relating to the Biden House of Biden, the cryptographic faithful should not think that regulators will be push-tors and allow the market to have fun with suspicious products.
“There is no easy street for anyone, and regulators are not easy. So, just because we are pro-innovation and pro-growth does not mean that you can get rid of the law,” said the annual president of the Futures Futures Trading, in Yahoo Finance, at the top of Coinbase (piece).
“And this is where I am talking about not twisting the law to criminalize an asset class or a technology, but I’m talking about lying, cheating and flying.”
Pham was active in the president of the CFTC on January 20, 2025. She took an oath as a CFTC commissioner on April 14, 2022.
The CTFC is a small but powerful agency that oversees the derivative market of several dollars. The derivatives help companies to bed against price oscillations in everything, from coffee to foreign currencies.
Congress could be about to adopt legislation to regulate the cryptography market. The CFTC should supervise the cash markets for Bitcoin and other digital assets which are not considered as titles.
The CFTC also aimed to prevent the proliferation of Paris markets. Companies such as Robinhood (Hood) and Kalshi continue to turn to these markets – which allow betting on things such as presidential elections and sports – as a mechanism of future growth.
This deregulating evolution of the CFTC can fall on the doorstep of the A16Z cryptographic policy, Brian Quintenz.
Pham and Commissioner Kristin Johnson both announced his intention to leave the CFTC, potentially leaving Quintenz as the only commissioner for a while if he receives the approval of the Senate.
“He had a very clear file as a commissioner who speaks of himself, and I can’t wait to do so,” said Pham, who was previously managing director of Citi. She added that she had not yet decided on her next career steps.
