Tron’s official X account was compromised on May 2, and the team has now confirmed that the attack was due to a social engineering attack. The pirates used the account to announce a contract address and allegedly sent direct messages to users and monitoring of suspicious accounts before Tron resumed control.
As indicated by Tron Dao, any direct message published by his X account on May 2 must be ignored. Users were also invited to delete any direct message of the same day, as this was included in the Pirate plan to distribute malicious information and engage with without distrust users.
Attack linked to the compromise account of team members
Tron Dao announced that the attack began with one of the members of its team becoming a victim of a social engineering hack. Once the pirates had access to the team member’s account, they were then able to take control of the Blockchain Master X account. Even after recovering access by Tron, the attackers continued to contact the others using the diverted personal account.

Dispute between the sun and the OKX on the freeze
